PURPOSE:To shorten a processing time by drawing only the outside contour line or outside contour line and inside contour line of a character inside with plural-dot width inside when drawing the contour lines of the character are drawn according to vector font data. CONSTITUTION:Vector font data representing contour information on each character is stored in a vector font dictionary 12. When the code of a character to be outputted is inputted, the vector font data on the character is read out of the vector font dictionary 12 and expanded on a memory 13 for vector font data. A CPU 11 develops the contour lines of the characters on a bit map memory 14 according to the vector font data on the vector font memory 13, but the contour lines are drawn having specific line width and the part inside the contour line (in the character) is painted out at the same time. |
