<p>PURPOSE: To improve the reliability of a system and to facilitate the check and maintenance by freely suspending a weigher on which an optical scanner is mounted at the lower position from the upper side surface of a counter in the counter. CONSTITUTION: A weigher 104 is mounted at a support bearer 108, and freely suspended at the lower position from the upper side surface 102A of a counter 102 in the counter 102. An optical scanner 112 is mounted on the weigher 104 to become the weighing tray of the weigher 104 at the position substantially aligned with the surface 102A of the counter 102. The weight indication via the cable relative to the scanner 112 supported to the weigher 104 is removed while the calibration, and the reading of the weigher 104 indicates only the weight of a commodity placed on the scanner 112. Thus, the connected weighing scanner system judges the weight of the commodity by reading the coded data on the label attached to the commodity placed on the scanner 112, i.e., the tray of the weigher 104. The system is suspended in the counter, and hence can be easily removed and installed.</p> |
