PURPOSE:To obtain the subject substance in a high yield and at a low cost while keeping an catalytic activity of the catalyst mentioned below over a long period by reacting 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-tritluoroethane with ammonia in the presence of a catalyst such as an oxide of a transition metal, zinc, etc. CONSTITUTION:1,1,2-Trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane and ammonia are used in a ratio of 1:(2-5) and reacted in the presence of an oxide of a transition metal (e.g. Cr, Fe or Cu) or zinc or a compound oxide thereof as a catalyst at 400-500 deg.C to obtain the subject substance. CuO-Cu2Cr2O7 (Adkins catalyst prepared by compounding Cr2O3 catalyst with CuO) is most suitable for the catalyst and the oxide catalyst is used by supporting the oxide on a suitable carrier such as Al2O3, silica alumina or active carbon. The feed rate of the raw gas can be set as high as 100-5000/hr. |
