The apparatus is made up of a telescopic device fitted with a terminal platform 24 which can be extracted telescopically in both directions, for storing a load, for example a vehicle, on opposed stalls. The apparatus is placed on a trolley 6 for transporting the load along the front of a series of stalls. The telescopic movement is driven by a pair of chains 51, 52 connected between the trolley 6 and the platform 24. This takes a pair of comb-like structures 36 displaceable vertically with respect to it, to insert their teeth 38, 39 between the corresponding teeth of two comb-like structures arranged in each stall. This vertical displacement is driven by four cam barrels, each having a helical groove engaged by a corresponding little roller on the comb structure 36. The barrels are integral with four toothed wheels 89, which are rotated in a synchronous manner by means of another chain 87, the ends of which are connected to a slider 82 sliding on the platform 24. Another chain, driven by a driving wheel carried by the trolley 6, displaces the slider 82 to the platform 24. <IMAGE> |
