NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by formula I [R1 is (substituted) alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, aryl or atom (atomic group) to form 5- or 6-membered ring together with X; R2 is (substituted) alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, aryl or R1 and R2 may form 5- or 6-membered ring which may contain O and N; R3 and R4 are H, halogen, cyano, nitro, (substituted) alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, aryl, acylamino, ureido, etc.; X is H or atom (atomic group) to form 5- or 6-membered ring together with R1; m and n are 1 or 2]. EXAMPLE:A benzothiophene-based azomethine dyestuff shown by formula II. USE:A dyestuff for sublimation type heat-sensitive transfer recording, having excellent transfer properties, coloring properties and fastness to various characteristics, providing a clear cyanine color. PREPARATION:A benzothiophene derivative shown by formula III is oxidized and coupled with a p-phenylenediamine derivative shown by formula IV. |
