The invention relates to a device for collecting a soiled hypodermic needle. It consists of a casing 1 comprising a channel 7. One of the lateral faces 10 is hinged and folds over onto the other lateral face 9. The locking is irreversible and the needle 6 is trapped in the casing 1 after disconnection of the syringe.
