PURPOSE:To enable any driver to perform safe cornering running with easiness by providing a means which controls a drive force or a brake force so that acceleration in the longitudinal direction of a car body is reduced to zero by means of a second detecting means when a signal is outputted from a first detecting means. CONSTITUTION:When acceleration in a lateral direction exerted on a car body is produced by a first detecting means 1a, it is outputted as a signal, and acceleration in the longitudinal direction of the car body is detected by means of a second detecting means 1b. When a signal is outputted by the first detecting means 1a, an output detected by the second detecting means 1b is inputted to means 1d-1e to control a drive force or a brake force. This constitution effects control so that constant speed cornering running is effected during running.
