PROCESS FOR PRODUCING PANELS OR WEBS OF LAMINATED CELLULAR THERMOPLASTIC MATERIAL

A process is useful for producing panels or webs of laminated cellular thermoplastic material. This laminated material is particularly suitable for use in drainage panels or courses. To produce the web, the thermoplastic material in the form of strips, webs, cuttings or the like is deposited in a layer of uniform height and then pressed and compacted at a temperature below the softening point of the cellular material. The pressed, compacted layer is then perforated and welded by means of heated pins (6) at a temperature between 400 and 800 DEG C. The pressing is maintained while the perforated, welded layer is cooled.
