The casings or casing halves of tape cassettes are manufactured by the injection moulding of a thermoplastic material. The tape guide elements formed on the casing can be deformed by stresses produced by the injection-moulding procedure. The moulding of the casing or casing halves is therefore carried out in a zone of the casing mould remote from the tape guide elements.
