A work table for a display screen has two pedestals (4) which are adjustable in height and represent channels for cables within the two side covers (1, 2). They carry a tray (5) with an access hole at the underside in front which is closed by a lid (9). An exchangeable table top (6) is fixed to the tray and has two access holes to the interior of the tray, closed by detachable lids (7). All components of this work table are preferably made of rigid PU foam, with two metal tubes in the shape of inverted U's across the front and rear of the pedestals. The feet (12) are profiled tubes, closed by caps (13). ADVANTAGE - This simplifies the wiring and meets the ergonomic requirements for computer work tables in offices.
