The cartridge hammer has a piston (6) with a head (6a) and a shaft (6b), and a cylindrical guide (5) with the same internal diameter as that of the shaft (6b). A plastics stopper (11) and flexible buffers (13) form a shock absorber for the piston (6), and between the stopper (11) and tbe buffers (13) is a transmission slide (10) which is in contact with either the piston (6) or the guide (5) after the deforming of the buffers (13). USE/ADVANTAGE - The shock absorber prevents damage to the machine parts.
