The revolving vehicle seat has upper (7) and lower (6) relatively pivoting support plates on a vertical axis and a securing device to lock the plates w.r.t. each other. Perpendicular guide pins (10,11,12), fixed w.r.t. each other on a retaining plate, cooperate with guide slits (13-20) of both support plates. The guide slits are so formed that the upper support plate pivots about a first guide pin (10) for a first portion of the complete seat movement, and about a second guide pin (11) for the remaining portion. USE/ADVANTAGE - Non-circular motion of seat is more suitable for vehicles.
