The housing (4) is attached to a baseplate (7) by means of an intermediate supporting plate (3) whose outer section (24) enters a lateral opening (25) in the housing (4), while its inner section (23) abuts against the edge (26) and is held against the baseplate (7) by two springs (30) hooked to upper and lower points (27,26). The housing is secured by screws (12) through holes (13) in the outer and lower edges of the supporting plate (3). A universal joint allows manual or mechanical adjustment of the mirror.
