PURPOSE:To obtain a correct temperature distribution diagram by detecting a picture element positioned on a temperature boundary where two picture elements of different temperature adjoin each other, and generating an isothermal line by considering this picture element as a denotative status. CONSTITUTION:A receiving and demodulating part 1 receives an electromagnetic wave including earth surface (including sea surface) temperature information measured by a satellite, and demodulates it into an analog voltage signal corresponding to the temperature, and an A/D converter 2 converts the analog signal into a digital signal corresponding to its level, and a buffer memory 3 stores the digitized picture element data of a necessary area portion. Then, the picture element positioned on the temperature boundary where two picture elements of the different temperature adjoin each other is detected in an overall control arithmetic circuit 8, and for instance, a noise which is probably included in a picture information signal and probably appears on a surface temperature distribution diagram is removed, and the isothermal line is generated. Thus, the correct temperature distribution diagram can be displayed. |
