PURPOSE:To obtain nonmagnetic metal selecting device which is substantially free from the generation of troubles in coils and wirings by fixing linear motors to a frame and generating moving magnetic fields on a trough without oscillating the frame. CONSTITUTION:The plural linear motors 12 are fixed to a top surface plate 10 of the frame 2 paralleled with a bottom plate 11 of the trough 5. A treating in which aluminum or the like and nonmetals coexist is supplied onto the bottom plate 11 of the trough 5 so as to form a thin layer. The moving magnetic fields in an arrow (a) direction are generated by the respective linear motors 12 and the trough 5 is oscillated. The aluminum or the like on the bottom plate 11 of the trough 5 is, therefore, separated from the nonmetals by the thrust in lateral directions generated in the aluminum itself by the moving magnetic fields which are generated by the linear motors 12, by which the aluminum is dropped into a groove-shaped aluminum recovering section 7. On the other hand, the nonmetals are moved in an arrow (b) direction by the transverse and longitudinal mechanical oscillations of the trough 5 and are dropped into a forward recovering box 21. |
