Trocar or endoscope apparatus - has flap valve which is opened by an axial sliding disc

The trocar or endoscope has a duct to receive an instrument. This duct can be closed by means of a flap valve. To prevent any piece of tissue becoming entrapped with the instrument in the flap valve an actuator is provided to open and close the flap valve. The flap (1) is held closed by a torsion spring and is pushed open by a sliding rod (2). This rod is pushed in the direction to open the flap by a disc which is pushed against a compression spring (5) as it acts on the rod. The spring returns the disc to its initial position.
