A spooling oil consists of 75-80% of a mixt. of 3 parts of a vegetable oil with a m.pt. under 0 deg.C and an iodine number of 75-140 and 5 parts of an ester, pref. a methyl ester of a vegetable fatty acid with a low viscosity, 6-12% of a fatty alcohol polyglycol ether, the fatty alcohol part contg. 8-14 C atoms and the polyglycol part contg. 3-8 ethylene oxide units, 3-8% of a fatty alcohol methacryalte, 1-3% of a soluble salt of an n-alkylphosphonate and opt. 1% of an anti-corrosive agent and 1% of a preservative. ADVANTAGE - The oil is used for treating textured fibre or fibre yarns, it washes out completely and is biologically degradable.
