PURPOSE:To achieve improvement of quality and reduction of manufacturing cost by a method wherein a thermal energy generating amount in recording is equalized at a plurality of thermal acting parts by varying a structure itself of a resistor and or a protective layer, and its shape or thickness according to its existing position. CONSTITUTION:In the case where heat resistance at both ends of a thermal resistant layer is 15OMEGA/Square and heat resistance at a central part is 20OMEGA/Square in an A4 width fullmulti unitary type ink jet recording head, a size of a central part heater is designed to be 20mumX100mum, and a size of heaters at both ends is designed to be 17mumX15mum. When thus designed, resistant values become 20X100/20=100OMEGA at the central part and 15X115/17=101OMEGA at both end parts, and both become almost equal. Since uniformity of a discharge volume has much to do with a printing characteristic (quality herein, if an area of the heater is equalized over the whole, the heaters at the central part and both end parts become to have the same resistant value. Therefore, foaming voltage becomes the same at any segment. |
