A method of processing silver halide photographic materials is described which includes processing an imagewise-exposed silver halide photographic material in a bath which has a fixing ability and then processing the photographic material in at least one of a water washing bath and a stabilizing bath, wherein at least one of washing water and stabilizing solution from at least one of the water washing bath and the stabilizing bath, respectively, is subjected to a reverse osmosis treatment using a reverse osmosis membrane which removes NaCl in a amount of 30% to 90% when treating a 1000 ppm NaCl solution at 25 DEG C under a feed pressure of 7 kg/cm<2>.
