Fibre-reactive disazo compounds of the formula <CHEM> in which the symbols are as defined in the specification, which compounds are in free acid or salt form, and mixtures thereof are useful for dyeing or printing hydroxy group- or nitrogen-containing organic substrates, for example leather and fibre materials containing or consisting of natural or synthetic polyamides or of natural or regenerated cellulose; the most preferred substrate is textile material containing or consisting of cotton. The dyeings and prints obtained show good general fastness properties such as good light fastness, wet fastnesses and resistance to acid hydrolysis.
