A protective conduit (1) for electrical cables, in which the channel (2) and its cover (S) are interconnected by means of revolving catches (14,114) which are carried by the cover (3) and are adapted to clamp bent edge parts (8) of the side walls (6) of the channel (2) against corresponding longitudinal bearing parts (11) of the cover (3).
