<p>Lemons or similar fruit is clamped between two half-moulds which can rotate round and slide up and down a tubular support. A blade is mounted to slide off the bulge of the fruit outside the mould as it passes, and a cutting tool enters the hole so made, as the mould slides downwards. This tool has a number of linked blades so that its diameter can be varied, and by suitable means the tool is spread after entering the fruit.</p> |
