<p>The channels (8), (9) for the hydraulic fluid ensuring the deflection compensation are situated axially on the same side of the outer envelope (1) as the cylinder drive gears (10); the heat-transfer fluid ensuring the thermal conditioning of the outer envelope (1) of the cylinder is introduced and removed through a rotary valve (13) arranged axially on the side of the outer envelope (1) opposite to that comprising the drive gears (10); and these gears (10) are made to rotate by second gears (11) offset laterally from the first and connected directly to the universal drive (12). The calender roll can easily be incorporated into an installation for the calendering of plastics and can safely be thermally conditioned by water or steam under pressure. <IMAGE></p> |
