<p>The method involves unwinding a fabric web (T) from its bobbin or mandrel, so as subsequently to be rewound on a bobbin or for the purpose of another operation, detecting the damaged fabric part or parts during the transfer operation, cutting in a transverse plane the fabric piece having the defects, before rewinding or another operation, then offering to a machine the superposed free ends respectively of the unwound fabric web and of the fabric web rewound or discharged towards another operation, then executing the transverse joining (R) of the two abovementioned ends by said machine (M) by carrying out a sewing operation, leaving visible two projecting lips capable of being turned down, and then preceding with a new bobbin-unwinding cycle for the purpose of detecting new defects. <IMAGE></p> |
