<p>A mechanism for adjusting either the tilt of a vehicle headlamp assembly (21) comprises a housing (25), a linearly movable cam (35) mounted in the housing (25) and operable to adjust the headlamp (21) when shifted linearly back and fourth, and a linearly moveable cam (36) adapted to be actuated by a screw (42) and operable to shift the horizontally movable cam (35) back and forth. The use of two cooperating, linearly movable cams (35, 36) imposes less stress on the housing (25) than prior art gear mechanisms.</p> |
