PURPOSE:To prepare a blow molded container having an excellent transparency and low odor and suitable for food packaging by blow molding a propylene polymer compsn. contg. a specified amt. of a 3-methylbutene-1 polymer. CONSTITUTION:A propylene polymer compsn. contg. 0.0001-10wt.% 3- methylbutane-1 polymer is obtd. e.g. by mixing the 3-methylbutene-1 polymer with a propylene (co)polymer. The compsn. is blow molded to give a container. The higher the crystallinity of the 3-methylbutene-1 polymer, the larger the improvement in the optical properties, and a pref. 3-methylbutene-1 polymer is one which has an m.p. of 300 deg.C or higher and a heat of fusion of about 9cal/g or higher. |
