PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of an acceleration sensor and to improve the reliability of detection by sealing magnetic fluid in a case together with a medium different in specific gravity and detecting acceleration on the basis of the movement of the magnetic fluid without requiring a mechanical supporting means. CONSTITUTION:The coloid-like magnetic fluid 1 is sealed in the case 3 together with the medium 2 having specific gravity and prevented from mixing with the magnetic fluid 1. In addition, a variable magnetism generating means 11 constituted of an electromagnet obtained by winding a coil around a winding frame 13 consisting of a nonconductive material and forming magnetic fluid 1 like a cylinder and a detecting means 8 consisting of differential transformers 9 are formed. The detecting means 8 and the variable magnetism generating means 11 are connected to a control means (unshown) through a connector 18. Consequently, the mechanical supporting means is omitted, the structure is simplified, the cost is reduced, troubles are reduced, and the reliability of detection can be improved. |
