PURPOSE:To automatically complement an incomplete state transition table and to reduce the labor of state transition table generation by providing a means which complements the state transition table at the time when the number of states after transition is '0'. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of a state transition table storage means 101 where the state transition table is stored, a posttransition state number counting means 102 which refers to the means 101 to count the number of states after each transition in the state transition table, and a posttransition state complementing means 103; and when the number of states after transition outputted from the means 102 is '0', the means 103 refers to the state transition table storage means 101 and writes the state of a pretransition state column corresponding to the posttransition state column into this posttransition state column to complete the state transition table. Thus, the pretransition state is referred and automatically copied to complete the posttransition state if the posttransition state column is blank, and the person's labor of state transition table generation is reduced.
