PURPOSE:To obtain an exception processing finding and processing starting means by utilizing an associative storage means, which outputs the address of an exception processing corresponding to the code of the operation result, and controlling means in the information processing system having a storage device and an operation device. CONSTITUTION:In the information processing system having a storage device 2 and an operation device 1, codes of the result of the operation and the exception state are stored. An exception processing device consisting of an associative storage device 2 which outputs addresses of exception processings corresponding to these codes, a stack 6 where contents of an instruction counter 3 are stored when the coincidence between the code of the operation result in an operating device 4 and the code stored in the associative storage device is detected, and a controller 7 which stores the address of the exception processing outputted from the associative storage device 2 to the instruction counter is obtained to start the exception procedure processing, which is generated in the information processing device, in a high speed. |
