PURPOSE:To be stable for thermal energy of a thermal head in case of printing, and to prevent contaminant from adhered to the head, etc., by incorporating ethylcellulose, silicone resin and silicone oil as main ingredients of a heat resistant slip layer. CONSTITUTION:In a heat sensitive transfer ribbon having a heat sensitive transfer layer on one side face of a base material and a heat resistant slip layer on the other side face of the material, the main ingredients of the slip layer include ethylcellulose, silicone resin and silicone oil in the transfer ribbon. The adhering amount of the slip layer is 0.03-0.60g/m<2> and desirably suitably 0.05-0.40g/m<2>. |
