PURPOSE:To form high accurate protruding strips with low elastic modulus and excellent abrasion resistance by covering the outer surface of a core roller with a rubber layer, and forming a high elastic modulus covered layer in vulcanizing it, wherein spiral grooves are made thereon, and an adhesive agent is applied thereto, and further thermosetting resin is filled therein and heated to make a groove material which is ground thereafter. CONSTITUTION:First, the outer surface of a core roller 1 is covered with a rubber layer which is then vulcanized so as to from a high elastic modulus covered layer 2. Next, the surface is made with a spiral grooves 2a symmetrically. In the next place, the inner surface thereof is coated with an adhesive agent, and a thermosetting elastic material 3 which is lower elastic modulus than that of the covered layer 2 is filled therein in an uncured liquid state, and cured by heating so as to form a groove material 4 which is lower elastic modulus than that of the cover layer 2. Following this, the front surface is ground, and the covered layer 2 is exposed, wherein grinding is carried out over the groove 4 which fills up the covered layer 2 and spiral grooves 2a thereof, and a part of the groove material 4 is projected from the surface of the covered layer 2 through the elastic modulus different between the groove material 4 and covered layer 2. |
