PURPOSE:To connect the systems by a non-transparent mode line so that a target program can be transferred by decomposing the target program into constitution data, converting it in accordance with conversion rule information and transmitting it, bringing received data to reverse conversion to reproduce the target program, and storing this target program. CONSTITUTION:A conversion processing means 12 divides a target program into one digit each of hexadecimal data from a transmitting side storage means 11, and there after, converts it in accordance with conversion rule information stored in a conversion rule table 13 and delivers it to a transmitting means 14. The transmitting means 14 transmits the delivered data by using a communication line 3 of a non-transparent mode procedure. A receiving side computer system 2 receives this data by a receiving means 24, a reverse conversion processing means 22 returns it to the original target program in accordance with reverse conversion rule information stored in a reverse conversion rule table 23, and a receiving side storage means 21 stores the delivered target program. The operation is repeated until the data obtained by dividing the target program into units of one digit of a hexadecimal number is gone. In such a way, the target program can be transferred easily in a short time by using a non- transparent mode line.
