PURPOSE:To perform an effective operation with an on-line terminal by designating systematically each function of each PF key. CONSTITUTION:An on-line system 1 defines a PF10 as a log-out function, and the on-line systems 2 and 3 designate a PF11 and a PF12 respectively. When a PF15 (log-out function key) is pushed to the system 1 via a keyboard 14 at a terminal, a communication program I stored in a terminal control 10 sends the PF15 to the system 1 after replacing the PF15 with the PF10. In the same way, a communication program II replaces the PF15 with the PF11 and sends the PF11 to the system 2. Then a communication program III replaces the PF15 with the PF12 and sends the PF12 to the system 3 respectively.
