PURPOSE:To improve IR transmittance and CO2 laser power transmitting characteristics by using core glass and clad glass each consisting of Ge, As and Se. CONSTITUTION:Core glass consisting of, by atom, 8-28% (x) Ge, 5-45% (y) As and 40-70% (z) Se is inserted into clad glass consisting of (x)-(x+5)% Ge, (y-10)-(y-1)% As and (z+1)-(z+10)% As. They are melted by heating and spun into a fiber. |
