PURPOSE:To control carrying speed for a form to improve the read speed, by selecting driving signals from a means, which generates plural motor driving signals, on a basis of format information to control the rotation of the motor. CONSTITUTION:Outputs of a driving signal generator 10 consisting of H, M, and L mode oscillators 11-13 are inputted to the first-the third gates 10-20 of a selector 30. In a controlling means 40, a form movement mode is determined in a form movement mode determining means 17 on a basis of an interface 14, a format designating part 15, and a sensor 15 for the leading edge and the trailing edge of the form, and outputs of the generator 10 are inputted to gates 18-20 and a counter 24 in accordance with this mode. Gates 18-20 are selected in accordance with the selected mode, and an OR gate 21 issues the output to drive a motor through a motor driving circuit 22, and the form carrying speed is controlled in accordance with the density of print on the form. Thus, an efficient high-speed optical read is possible. |
