PURPOSE:To obtain fine granules useful for a filler, etc., for paper by blending a hydrolyzable silane compound, etc., with inorganic fine granules, adding an aqueous solution of ammonia, etc., thereto to carry out hydrolysis and condensation reaction and applying the resultant silicone polymer to the surface of inorganic fine granules. CONSTITUTION:A compound selected from a hydrolyzable silane compound and partially hydrolyzed condensation product thereof (preferably alkyltrialkoxysilane, dialkyldialkoxysilane and partially hydrolyzed condensation product thereof) is blended with inorganic fine granules and ammonia or an aqueous solution of amine and organic solvent are added thereto and the blend is subjected to hydrolysis and condensation reaction and the surface of the above-mentioned inorganic fine granules is coated with the resultant silicone polymer to provide the aimed fine granules. |
