摘要

PURPOSE:To lessen the fluctuation in performance with respect to the fluctuation in the wavelength of a laser beam to be used for recording or reproducing of information by forming the medium in such a manner that a dyestuff has the fluctuation range of the reflectivity below the + or -10% range of the reflectivity at a prescribed wavelength. CONSTITUTION:The recording layer contg. the dyestuff with which the information can be recorded or reproduced by the laser beam is provided on a disk- shaped substrate. This dyestuff is constituted of one or >=2 kinds of the dyestuffs selected from cyanine dyestuffs and azulenium dyestuffs. The dyestuff has the fluctuation range of the reflectivity below the + or -10% of the reflectivity at the prescribed wavelength in the range of the wavelength of >=+ or -3% of the prescribed wavelength of the laser beam used for the recording or reproducing. The fluctuation in the reflectivity is lessened with respect to the fluctuation in the wavelength of the laser beam used for the recording or reproducing of the information in this way and the errors at the time of the recording or reproducing of the information are decreased.
