Process for producing a plate for a pallet, which plate comprises a core with cell structure 12. The core is covered by covering layers 16,18 which seal the cells and form a bearing surface for a load or the like. In order to facilitate the production and achieve material savings as a result of the cell walls being thinner than the covering layers, the plate is produced in at least two parts, each part comprising the covering layer 16,18 and a part of the cell structure, for example half the height of the cells 12, the cell structure being connected in hermetically sealed arrangement to the covering layer. The cell structure parts are then connected to those sections or ends of the cell walls 14 facing away from the covering layers by welding or other fusion method such that the cells 12 are hermetically sealed and joined and, together with the covering layers, form the said plate. <IMAGE> |
