发明名称 DECISION OF SNOWING ON OVERHEAD LINE
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to monitor the snow-deposit condition all over the whole overhead line at one spot by measuring the temperature at an arbitrary point of an overhead line from the intensity and lag time of the rear- scattered light returned from each point of an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:An overhead line 11 is composed of an overhead earth wire 12 and an overhead transmission line 13. The terminal of an optical fiber 14 provided to the overhead earth wire 12 is led into a substation 15. Optical pulses are sent out from an optical source to the optical fiber, and from the intensity and lag time of the rear-scattered light returned from each point of the optical fiber 14, the temperature of an arbitrary point of the overhead line 11 is measured. When this measured temperature undergoes the change for a specified time which the range of 1 deg.C to -1 deg.C, it is decided that the overhead line 11 carries snow-deposit. Without need of arranging and setting any device at site, the snow deposit can thereby be monitored all over the whole line.</p>
