PURPOSE:To prevent curling after printing, a lowering of printing density and missing transfer by containing a specific amount of sulfite pulp in base paper and shifting the coating amount of a polyolefin resin layer to a specific range. CONSTITUTION:Base paper pref. contains sulfite pulp and, as sulfite pulp, any one of needle leaf tree sulfite pulp, broadleaf tree sulfite pulp and a mixture thereof may be used but it is more pref. to use broadleaf tree sulfite pulp as a main component. The content of the sulfite pulp in the base paper is pref. 40wt.% or more, more pref., 50wt.% or more. As a resin, a polyolefin resin possible in extrusion coating is pref. and, as the polyolefin resin, there are a homopolymer, a copolymer composed of two or more olefins, straight chain low density polyethylene and a mixture thereof and it is pref. to add white pigment to the resin in order to enhance the whiteness of an image receiving sheet for thermal transfer recording and the sharpness of an image. The pref. coating amount of the resin layer is 5-25g/m<2>. |
