The present invention relates to a machine intended for the manufacture of food products of the type including a tube or an envelope with paste and a stuffing arranged inside the said tube or envelope. The machine includes an endless flexible, elastic conveyor belt 1, an upper strand 8 of which defines an upper longitudinal reception face 11 of a longitudinal strip of paste 22 and, on this strip 22, a longitudinal sausage (roll) of stuffing 24; the machine includes means 2, 3, 15, 16 for twisting the said upper strand 8 in such a manner that, by moving, the upper face 11 of the latter changes from an approximately plane shape into a U-shape, thus giving rise to a similar folding of the strip of paste 22 around the stuffing sausage 24; means 27, 28 firmly applying the two longitudinal, marginal zones 25, 26 of the strip 22 against each other so as to produce a longitudinal crimping of the strip 22. In this way, effective crimping is obtained on a simple machine. <IMAGE>
