PURPOSE:To sharply and inexpensively record image data by a method wherein the perforated or non-perforated part corresponding to image data is formed by applying heat energy using a thermal head and toner is held to the perforated or non-perforated part to be fixed. CONSTITUTION:A heat-softenable layer 2 is removed corresponding to image data by the application of heat energy 3 using a thermal head to form a non- perforated part 7 and a perforated part 8 to an image data input material 4. Next, toner 9 is held to either one of the perforated part 8 and the non- perforated part 7 by electrostatic force. For example, by the difference of charge between the non-perforated part and the perforated part, the toner 9 is held only to the perforated part. Charge can be imparted by the contact with an electrode, corona discharge, a charged atmosphere or the rubbing with cloth. The toner is charged using a friction charging method, an inductive polarization method, a corona charging method or an ion attraction method. By this method, the toner adhered to the perforated or non-perforated part is fixed to form an image. |
