PURPOSE:To enable a print of which image quality is improved to be prepared by controlling electrification based on a heating state of a thermal head by a method wherein a number of times for reading setting means which establishes a number of times for reading a read circuit by a printing command signal of a printing control circuit to integral times a number of times for writing of a writing control circuit, is installed. CONSTITUTION:For a heating state of a thermal head 14, temperature of a thermal element 18 ascends most at a center of one line, and a most quantity of ink is stuck to this part. Then, time for sending one line of paper is divided by, for example, four parts with a servo circuit 10. When the thermal head 14 is electrified each devided time, a temperature distribution of the thermal element of the thermal head 14 is equalized during one line, and sticking of ink to a specific position is avoided. Therefore, a printing control circuit 9 of a video printer outputs a printing command two times to one line and a gradation control circuit 19 is sufficed only by operating a read address of a read circuit 6 so as to read a next line data for the first time by receiving a printing command two times. |
