NEW MATERIAL:A piperazine derivative expressed by formula I (R<1> is H or 1-5C alkyl; R<2>, R<3> and R<4> each are independently H, hydroxyl group, 1-5C alkoxy, 3-5C alkenyloxy or aralkyloxy; R<5> and R<6> each are independently H, halogen, 1-5C alkyl or alkoxy) or salt thereof. EXAMPLE:1-(3,4-Dimethoxyphenyl)-2-(4-diphenylmethylpiperazinyl)ethoxya cetate dihydrochloride. USE:Useful as an antiallergic, antihistaminic agent, bronchodilator, antispasmodic agent, etc., having excellent antihistaminic action and orally and parenterally administrable. PREPARATION:For example, a compound expressed by formula II and an alpha- halogenoacetic acid ester are subjected to dehydrohalogenating reaction to provide a compound expressed by formula III (R<7> is alcoholic residue of the alpha-halogenoacetic acid), which is then hydrolyzed to afford the compound expressed by formula I. |
