<p>PURPOSE:To smoothly perform reset recovery of a set car speed when a deviation from the set car speed reaches a predetermined value or more in a constant speed running modes, by forbidding lockup primarily so as to let a fluid joint function work that is intrinsic to a torque converter. CONSTITUTION:In a constant speed running mode by means of a constant speed running device (e), a first stage speed deviation for which a deviation from a set car speed reaches a predetermined value is detected by a means (f). A second stage speed deviation for which a deviation from the set car speed is greater than the predetermined value is detected by a means (g). Based on the first stage speed deviation, control is performed by a means (h) so as to forbid lockup of a lockup device (a) in a torque converter (b). Then, based on the second stage speed deviation, change gear to a maximum speed stage of an automatic change gear (d) is controlled to be forbidden. Namely, when required, lockup is primarily forbidden so as to let a fluid joint function that is intrinsic to the torque converter work, and speed recovery is thus performed smoothly.</p> |
