PURPOSE: To provide the compsn. which contains a straight vitamin U or the vitamin U coated with long-chain hydrocarbon or hydrocarbon deriv., provides meat production animals with appetite promotion, protection of the livers, regeneration of the epithelia and antiphlogistic property and enhances feed efficiency and gain of body weight. CONSTITUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by incorporating (B) the straight vitamin U or the vitamin U coated with at least 10wt.% long-chain hydrocarbon or hydrocarbon deriv., into (A) the feed components of the meat production animals. The compsn. is used not only for the feed component of the meat production animals but for increasing an egg production quantity and fur production quantity as well.
