This device comprises, in combination, a means for selecting the sets of cables constituting the network one by one; a means for disconnecting the set of cables selected from the earth; a means for measuring the resistance of this set of cables, combined with a means for comparing this resistance with an adjustable reference threshold; an alarm means which is triggered when a leaktightness defect is exhibited; a means making it possible to record, process and supply all the data relating to these assemblies; a means making it possible to interrogate the system remotely or in situ.
