PURPOSE:To secure a lumen space by dilating a stent by elasticity when the holding force of a fixing member is eliminated by mounting the fixing member composed of a biodegradable material folding a tubular stent trunk composed of an elastic material in a form reducing the outer diameter thereof and bundling the same in the folded state. CONSTITUTION:A drainage (ERBD) tube 1 is composed of a stent trunk 2 composed of an elastic material stable in a living body such as silicone rubber or polyethylene and the stent trunk 2 is held in a folded state by a fixing member. The fixing member consists of strip-like rings 3, 3 and formed, for example, from a biodegradable material such as poly L-lactic acid or gelatin. The ERBD tube 1 is inserted in a bile duct 6 from the papilla 5 of the duodenum by an endoscope. The rings 3, 3 receive degradation several days after the ERBD tube 1 is inserted to be lowered in strength and the sent trunk 2 is delated by elasticity to slightly dilate the constricted region due to a cancerous tissue part 8. After several days, the rings 3, 3 are degraded to be perfectly broken and the stent trunk 2 is delated to be restored to the original shape and the constriction region due to the canerous tissue part 8 is also dilated to secure a lumen space. |
