<p>PURPOSE:To prevent destruction of stored information in a disk device by discriminating whether the disk device is operated or not by a computer main body and breaking a power switch at the time when the disk device is not operated. CONSTITUTION:A power-off operation signal generating part 7 gives a signal related to the turning-off operation of a power source 1 of the computer to a computer main body 2. When this signal is given to the computer main body 2, the main body 2 discriminates whether a disk device 3 connected to the main body 2 is operated at present or not; and if the disk device 3 is not operat ed, a power switch 10a is broken to turn off the power source 1 of the com puter. Consequently, the power source 1 is kept connected to the computer while the disk device 3 is operated. Thus, stored information in the fixed disk device 3 connected to the computer main body 2 is not destroyed at the time of power-off of the computer.</p> |
