Traffic light arrangement with stop phase duration indicator - has additional display with intelligent unit suitable for simple retrospective fitting

A traffic light arrangement has phase lamps, esp. red, yellow and green, switching alternately and mounted in a housing on a post. The lamps are connected via a relay associated with a central cabinet to a current supply. The arrangement has a display indicating the duration of the red phase. The display (7) is associated with an intelligent black box (9) which is connected simultaneously to the three phase lamps (4-6) to supply them with power. USE/ADVANTAGE - Traffic light system indicates red light phase duration to driver. It can be simply and economically installed retrospectively.
